About the event
Join up at our recruiting station, gear up and put on a Union uniform, pitch your tent, practice drills, try your hand at games soldiers played
to pass the time, see a live musket firing demonstration.
Plan will be to have activities geared toward students/parents as well as potential recruits. Activities will include enlistments, Union camp, accoutrements and life of the soldier, weapons, manual of arms and school of the soldier and 19th C baseball.
Duryee Cadets encouraged to attend.
Recommended for ages 7 -14.
Bring a bag-lunch or snack.
